eLEARNING DEPARTMENT
The mission of the eLearning Department is to facilitate the continued growth and development of eLearning opportunities for a diverse and rapidly changing student population. The department supports students, faculty, and staff in the effective use of learning technologies, online and hybrid student success, digital instruction, and in other areas related to distance learning.
Distance learning courses allow students to participate from anywhere in the world. If you are a single parent, busy professional, or have other reasons that prevent you from attending face-to-face courses, please take a look at our online offerings. Online courses are similar to face-to-face courses in that you receive a syllabus, purchase and use a physical or digital textbook, have regular assignments, and take exams. You communicate regularly with the instructor through course email, discussion forums, and real-time chat sessions. At NCTC student-instructor interaction is highly valued and considered a critical component to meaningful learning.
