Course Description

A survey of the political system of the United States including: the United States Constitution, the three branches of government, political theory, political parties, interest groups and the media. This course is required for graduation and teacher certification.

Access to the Internet and ability to send and receive email is essential to course participation. Software capable of processing documents, like Microsoft Word, is required, as well as Microsoft Excel for working with spreadsheet data. The exchange of documents between student to instructor, instructor to student and student to student is an integral part of the conduct in an online course.
